Nicole Fischer
Nicole Fischer was born in 1981 in Gifhorn. She studied biotechnology with
focus on environmental microbiology at the Universität zu Lübeck and the
Technische Universität Braunschweig. In 2007, she graduated and started
her PhD thesis in Braunschweig at the Institute of Biochemical Engineering
(ibvt) at the Technische Universität Braunschweig in the research group of
Prof. Andreas Haarstrick. During her PhD thesis, she was involved in the
cooperative research with the Federal Institute for Geosciences and
Natural Resources in Hanover and was a member of scientific research
groups regarding landfill monitoring and measurement of in-situ moisture
content in wastes. In February 2011, Nicole Fischer finished her PhD
thesis and received a Doctorate in Engineering (magna cum laude).
